1. Who We Are

Planabl is a UK-based AI planning statement generator available at planabl.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at judepwalker100@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect and process the following personal data:

Email address — provided when you subscribe via Stripe or request a magic login link. Used to manage your account and send login links.
Payment data — billing and payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to this data.
Usage data — information about how you interact with the Service, including the number of statements generated and general usage patterns. This data is not linked to personally identifiable project content.
Project input data — the site address, development type, and description of works you enter when generating a statement. This data is used solely to generate your output and is not stored after generation is complete.

3. Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)

We process your data under the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

Contract performance — your email address is necessary to deliver the Service, including sending magic login links and confirming your subscription.
Legitimate interests — usage data is processed to improve the Service and detect abuse, where this does not override your rights.
Legal obligation — we may retain certain data to comply with financial or legal record-keeping requirements.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

Email address — retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after cancellation, after which it is deleted.
Usage data — retained in aggregate, anonymised form indefinitely for service improvement. Identifiable usage records are deleted within 12 months.
Project input data — not stored. Input is processed in memory to generate your statement and is not written to any persistent storage.
Payment records — retained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policy and applicable financial regulations.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party processors where necessary to deliver the Service:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
Resend — transactional email delivery (magic login links, welcome emails)
Anthropic — AI text generation. Your project inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate statement drafts. Anthropic's usage policies apply.
Railway — server hosting infrastructure

All processors are contractually required to process data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

As a data subject under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of access

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to rectification

Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure

Request deletion of your personal data where there is no lawful reason to retain it.

Right to portability

Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to object

Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.

Right to restrict processing

Ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.

Planabl does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Service uses browser localStorage to remember whether your free trial has been used. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
